The BEST cushion for pudendal nerve pain.
This cushion has greatly improved my quality of life. I can once again sit, drive, and generally get through the day with much less pain. I wish I had found this cushion sooner as it would have saved me a lot of pain and maybe even resulted in a better recovery. Prior to this, I tried more than a dozen cushions during the span of a year. Sitting continued to result in painful flare-ups with all of them. I consulted doctors and physical therapists but they offered nothing except drugs and suggested nerve blocks. I was desperate to give my body a chance to recover so the search for a way to get pressure off the nerve continued. I was hesitant about the cost of this cushion but it's worth it. The comfort was instant. The holes are in the perfect place to take pressure off nerves. And, the holes are big enough they should work well for a variety of body types. This is now the only cushion I need and I use it everywhere. This cushion is on the thicker side for driving. I'm petite so I can handle the height boost this provides in the car. It's worth it to be able to drive without enduring serious flare-ups. As for sitting at a desk or in any other situation, this cushion is perfect. Excellent materials and construction. No toxic chemical odors like some of the cheaper pillows I tried. I've now used it for months and it's still supportive and like new. With good care this cushion will last a long time. Please never change the design or high quality. Thank you for making this cushion as it has given me a chance to regain my life.

Must Have for ischial (sit bone) bursitis/tendonitis/deep gluteal pain!!
High quality, very well designed, should last years, well worth the money if you have deep pain in the bones that hit the chair first when you sit down. Thick, well padded, works fantastic in car and office chair too. At least a couple inches thick so adjust your chair height & lumbar cushion accordingly. My orthopedic doctor specifically said "Get this! Now!". He was right, now I can sit comfortably and drive without continuous pain.

Finally, Sitting Bones Pain Relief!
I never realized that my butt pain was caused by the pressure on the nerves under my sitting bones. Up until now, I have tried multiple types of cushions, all flat without holes, and have found some initial relief, but after sitting usually more than an hour, the pain would set in. This was the same issue when driving my car for more than an hour at a time. And completely grueling in pain taking an airplane trip. Now, having seen this product with holes in the cushion, it made sense that it would alleviate the pressure under my sitting bones. It has! And I am thankful for that! I am writing this now having sat at my computer for over two hours and can honestly and truthfully say that I am pleased with the pain relief I have. I am not 100% pain free, probably because I shift around in my chair, to be able to sit this long without any major pain is wonderful! I have a 5-6 hour flight coming up and this will be the proof of the pudding that this seat cushion product will do what I hope it will do. I will write a follow-up review when I return to let you know... I just returned from my trip yesterday (4/27/2024) and I am here to say that I was absolutely pleased with my Aylio Socket Seat (as it has that name on the handle). I did need to adjust my sitting position to find my sweet spot, which was found when I realized I had no pain, and that was it! A 5 hour each way flight in comfort, being able to concentrate on the movies I was watching instead of squirming in grueling pain the whole time was extraordinary and such a blessing! The Aylio seat cushion may be more expensive than other products being sold with the same sitting bone cut-outs, but I "feel" that the relief of pain and the quality of this seat cushion is totally worth the price! So I wholly recommend it and now I will buy another one just for my car! And I am also putting my name to this review as I believe in this product. Sincerely, Thomas Heinrich

Not Super Comfy, But Does Somewhat Alleviate Visible "Sit Bone Bruising"
My hubby frightened me when he discovered two rather large visible bruises; one on each side of my lower "tush". I had no pain, therefore no idea anything was amiss until he produced for me photo documentation of the bruising. After some research, I discovered an unusual new phenomenon that home health nurses were seeing in patients with limited activity and seated confinement. For lack of a proper clinical name, they nicknamed it "recliner butt". Astonishingly, the photos correlated well with my general disposition and situation. With a long history of chronic lower lumbar, sciatic pain, and diabetic neuropathy, I have been sleeping in my well worn recliner for over a decade... alternating with waking hours all too often spent seated at a keyboard and/or in front of a sewing machine. So, with onset of this strange new physical "malady", my search for a "good" seat cushion commenced. After months of trial and error with different cushions, fabrics, contents, etc , nothing seemed to address the strange bruising. It appeared that I was in need of a cushion that would comfort and cradle a particular area of my pelvis. (Apparently, the ischial tuberosity is a bone in your lower pelvis that absorbs weight when you sit. These are commonly referred to as “sit bones/seat bones” that can bruise and/or cause discomfort.) When I checked AMAZON for a cushion for this condition, I came across this strangely configured AYLIO SOCKET SEAT CUSHION with two smaller openings (to cradle the "sit bones"). There weren't many cushions offered in this configuration and/or size, so I bit the bullet on the high cost and bought it. To help substantiate the cost was the manufacturer's generous extended trial period and return policy for this product. The cushion arrived in good time, packed inside a nice sturdy box. It is well constructed; the top made of a strong "netted" design type vinyl material; the sides and bottom a more rigid "pleather" type fabric. Inside the removeable zippered cover is a nice quality memory foam. The front of the cushion has a slightly raised area for between the thighs; the rear has a cut out portion for relief on the tailbone. Although lacking a dedicated "skid resistant" bottom material on the cushion, I find minimal - if any movement at all on my chairs while in use. IMO, this is an overall nice quality product. I will say, it did take a day or two to adjust to the relative "firmness" of the cushion, but all seems well now. While utilizing it for sleeping in my recliner WAS NOT optimal (slept okay, but was aware of it's presence), I felt it might perhaps be a bit too small or firm for that purpose. It DOES however serve me well for hour upon hour of seated desk tasks (typing and sewing). After two weeks consistent use, my back seems LESS stiff and uncomfortable -AND- as I suspected, the bruising on each side of my tush has greatly diminished. Frankly, the only personal caveat I see with this product might be the overall width and depth of the cushion, which I feel could use an extra 1-2 inches to accommodate us "larger" framed folks. (Perhaps this would make the sides a bit more "forgiving" and thus, more comfortable for sleeping.) So, if you present with symptoms such as mine, I would say this unique cushion is worth a try. Although expensive, the manufacturer does offer an extended trial/return period. Of note: when I attempted to purchase a second cushion for dedicated use on our lower level furniture, I found that this particular "2 hole" configuration was no longer available, however the company did offer a slightly less costly cushion with one single hole in the center (although this one appears to be more suited for hemorrhoid relief). Perhaps with time I may be willing to give it a try, who knows?

This pillow eliminates pain assoc with gluteal tendinopathy.
I don't review products normally, but this pad has made life bearable for Gluteal Tendinopathy. I drive a lot and sit at the computer for my job, and without the pillow, I suffer from butt and leg pain (in my shin). This pillow eliminates that pain. I have used it on long truck journeys (5-6 hours driving), and on international flights. I even used it in a sea kayaking tour. Sadly, I learned that once saturated in seawater, the memory foam expands so much that you can't get the cover back on. I was mortified at losing my pillow, so I immediately bought another one. Until I heal, I can't do without this amazing pillow! Highly recommend...just don't take it in the ocean lol

Worked for me for sitz bone pain. Durable.
I have used this for a year or more now. It is still in perfect condition. It seemed like it might be too hard at first, and not quite cushy enough, but apparently it provides relief in the right area while still being rugged enough to last. My problem was specifically at the sitz bones, and I think was due to a change of couch that maybe has springs that press on just the wrong place for me. After a couple months of using this, my pain went away. Recently, I set it aside and stopped using it for a while, until I noticed my pain returning. So, I will keep it on my favorite spot on the couch.

Great for protecting "sit bones", but very uncomfortably firm.
Sit Bone Protection: 5 stars Quality: 5 stars Overall Comfort: 2 stars. Comfort comes from where it does NOT touch you, not from where it does! Cost: 2 stars. Would be 5, if it actually had cushioning for the parts that make contact with your body. --------------------------------------------------------- My spouse has been seriously ill, and has lost fat and muscle to where he has no built-in padding, ANYWHERE, anymore. Sitting in his home office chair has been especially painful for him. We've spent hundreds, and this is the first cushion that actually helped, thanks to the deep "sit bone" cutouts. Unfortunately, the term "cushion" is to be used lightly, as it is VERY - as in TOO - firm. For a hundred dollars, I will say this appears to be well-constructed and built to last. And it really is fantastic at eliminating sit bone pain. BUT, they neglected to add a layer of softness on top. I have MORE than ample padding on my rump, and *I* find it too firm to be comfortable. So while it absolutely eliminates his sit bone pain, which IS huge, he still actively UNCOMFORTABLE. This is crushingly disappointing, given all he's going through, especially for the premium price. You can buy a whole CHAIR for $100. I'm debating picking up an ugly "egg crate"-style wheelchair foam pad, and cutting holes over the corresponding "sit bone" cutouts in this cushion. It's both ridiculous and frustrating that I have to spend extra time and money, possibly in vain, to make a hundred dollar seat "cushion" ACTUALLY comfortable. I hope they revisit the design and can add a softer, top layer to it. In the meantime, it's at least preventing pressure sores and eliminating pain, even if it otherwise causes a measure of discomfort.

Excellent quality, construction and comfort!
I have had this seat cushion for years and am very happy with the quality and function of it! My "sits bones" get sore and this helps since I usually drive over 400 miles every week in currently an F-150 Ford truck. Also, since I like sitting higher in the truck to see out over - it helps with that issue too. It may seem like a high price, but it's excellent quality and is worth the money!
