I really think that all this is really amazingly and that the function is really good. I got the refurbished renewed ones which worked just fine. I was able to put two together and I’m able to connect in my mesh and their functioning like brand new normal units like I would need and I’ve never even had one fell in the last six years. So I have no need to really buy new ones at this time. Everything‘s working great my message is secure and maintained very well. I had to put one lock kind of far from the other, but it was able to pull in the network and bring it full circle. Just fine signal sometimes can show weak but overall I’ve never had any issues with limited functionality of my Wi-Fi. This is the best option for a set up to leave it don’t mess with it. Don’t mess with it. Also, with Google Home, you can do all kinds of stuff like set profiles. Turn the Wi-Fi off at a certain hour. Make sure your kids aren’t on a certain device stop certain device so you can’t get his attention. You can do all kinds of different features like set a timer for something for priority if you Internet is not the best. It’s ultimately made for the low bandwidth networks. I think it is a great job keeping the connectivity and fixing those kind of problems. Does an awesome job. Review: Solid coverage. Fast network speed. A definite upgrade from our prior network. - I purchased a 3-puck Google Wifi system through desertcart to replace our more traditional wifi modem. The wifi in our house had become increasingly unreliable, with frequent dropped signals and interruptions in service. My wife works from home quite a bit, so reliable wifi is important. We live in a three story house (basement, main floor, upstairs) of about 3000 square feet, built around 1900. The lathe and plaster walls, and old school plumbing and wiring, make wifi and cell phone coverage a challenge. I placed one puck in the basement next to our cable router, one in the living room on the main floor, and one in the office upstairs. I attached an ethernet switch to the puck in the basement to accommodate our hard-wired devices. I did not wire the pucks themselves to one another. They are connecting to one another via wifi. The mesh system has greatly improved the performance of our wifi network. The internet speed for the computer in the office had typically run in the 25-30 Mbps range. It now runs 75-80 Mbps. We have not had the new system long enough to make a definitive assessment regarding long-term reliability. However, the performance so far has been great. Installation and setup was relatively easy, but I did have some issues. You do the setup through an app on your phone. There is no written documentation to speak of included with the units. The system would not recognize one of the pucks when I went to install it. I found a solution (resetting the puck using the reset button) after some searching on the internet. Once I identified the issue, and found instructions for resetting the puck, it installed without issue. The whole process took 60-90 minutes. If I had not needed to diagnose and reset the puck, the process would have been very easy, and would have taken no more than 20 minutes. All in all I am very pleased with this product, including the installation and setup process. You can get wifi modem's for a lot less. Given my experience to date, I believe this system is worth the extra money. I hope it proves to be reliable in the long run.

Easy setup, If use Google support
Once I got the wifi up and running it was great. Connection is strong and getting fast download speeds throughout the home on wifi which was surprising. Each pod has a lan port which is nice. I have two PCs that I connect through lan cable instead of wifi, and it works well. I got an open box unit so I was a bit nervous. My box did not come with instructions, so I had to search online for guidance. I was able to connect one pod to ISP modem after a little mingling around. Don't hesitate to call Google support for help, they will make sure you get up and running no matter how long it takes. I ended up needing to call them to get the other pods to work. Below are some tips and tricks to make set up smooth: *Make sure to set up pods all in one room first. It does not matter which pod you choose to connect to the internet (main unit). - Make sure you set up one pod at a time. - Download Google wifi app first on phone or tablet. - Open up app to begin set up, when app prompts to search for devices don't hit next yet, this is when you plug in the pod you want to setup. - Plug in the Pod, the unit will turn on, initially you may see a solid Blue light. This is the first step the solid blue light means its resetting. Note: it can take up to 10 minutes to be ready for setup so be patient, I wasn't that is why I ended up calling customer service. - Once the unit has arelatively slow blue pulses that is when you hit next in the app to search for Google devices. - Follow the prompts in the app to finish setup. - Once the unit is setup it will be solid white. - Next click add to network, repeat setup steps above plug in device wait for slow blue pulses, click search for devices, choose the room you want it to be in and wait for white light. Once white light is on unplug unit and move it to the room you want it in. Once you plug it in again it will automatically connect since you already set it up in the main units room. Another thing I learned is you can have two separate Networks Your main network and your guests network. There is no way to separate Networks by radio band, meaning 5 ghz vs. 2.4 ghz so both your main and guest networks potentially can use 2.4 or 5ghz. The neat feature with Google wifi is that the devices when connected to the wifi will automatically connect to the best radio band for it no matter which network its on. This takes the guesswork out of it for you. So all those wifi enabled kitchen gadgets that require 2.4ghz should work smoothly without needing to manually choose the radio band required. I'm glad I called customer service. I am a techy person and had difficulty figuring it out on my own. I almost packed it up and sent it back. After two hours of struggling I gave in and contacted support, they were helpful and patient. If you follow my tips and tricks above you should have no problem. Remember be patient give each unit up to 10 minutes before pressing reset button and unplugging it. If you want to reset it you must press the button while unplugging it and plugging it back in, then let the button go. Hope this long winded review is helpful for someone.

Great but…
Loved the boost this Google WiFi gave my internet. I work at home in a basement office and there was a huge improvement in my connection with these (I got the 3-pack refurbished). However, 5 months later, the main point would not power up. No lights whatsoever. So after researching, I decided best course of action was to do a factory reset and move a secondary point to the main point location which left us with 2 vs 3 points. This was a great solution for us since the 3rd point was really just an extra for us and not really needed on the main floor. Hopefully these 2 will last.

Very Happy with Product, No issues with "Renewed"
Very happy with this purchase. Upgraded from a single router that was starting to be inconsistent. The mesh coverage is excellent, and 3 modules allows me flexibility to modify the coverage. I live in a 2400 sqft, 4 BR, 2 story house, and the coverage is great. In certain corners of the house, the signal drops by 1 bar, but that's it. No issues with these being "Renewed". They look brand new. Not even minor scuffs or cosmetic defects. Appear to be functioning completely normal. I can't speak to long term durability as I've only had them a few weeks. If there is a durability problem, I will update this review. A couple of items I would point out to a buyer: 1) There were no instructions of any kind in the box. It's pretty easy to find them online, but some people might find that frustrating. 2) Set up with the Google Home app is very easy. I consider myself tech aware (but not a tech genius), and was able to get it done in about 45 minutes, primarily due to one hiccup in which the connection to one of the units stalled for 10 minutes. I am very happy with this product and would recommend to anyone.

Great deal for excellent home wifi solution
I love the simplicity of setup and setting you get to change using the app. There are great analytics using the app and I can easily see which devices are using how much data, and also prioritize certain devices during times of video games or watching videos to help prevent lagging or buffering. You can also group devices to easily turn off internet access to those groups all at one time. Overall great whole home wifi solution. Finally a wifi solution that is simple to setup, stays up to date and secure with automatics updates, solves my dead spots and expands my coverage while allowing me to easily run tests, get alerts, and setup guest access. I have this in my home, and have set it up in my parents home to finally solve their internet coverage issues. I have their house connected to my profile so I can even trouble shoot their internet issues from my app anywhere. Great solution for my "tech support" calls from my parents or in-laws.

They don't mesh
They will work fine as an individual router, but they will not mesh. No matter what, when you try to add the points to the main router, they always say out of range. I actually had them sitting next to each other and they still said they were not in range. Full on garbage; pay the extra $20 to get them from directly from Google.

Great WiFi everywhere!!
I live in a very old (103 years) home with several others. Wi-Fi throughout the house has been an issue since we began renting and moved in. I at times have to teach remotely and others work from home remotely on certain days. It has been difficult to try to figure out how to sell Wi-Fi throughout this big old house 8000 ft.² plus. Our neighbor told me about and showed me her mesh system. After her purchasing and setting up the six units, we now have stable Wi-Fi throughout the entire house. It is amazing to even have it in the basement and outside on the porch. I would highly recommend this purchase. Once You download the app everything is self-explanatory and easy to work and manage. It helps you know where to set up the units for the best Wi-Fi. The initial investment is well worth it.
