In terms of comfort and fit it is night and day difference, at least for my head. Also, I wear M/L size, but it wasn’t in stock, so I went with XL. If you care to know, by going one size up, all you lose is the space for your ear pro/comms headband. The front and back pads are just touching each other. Personally, I didn’t care about this at all, because my headphones are attached to the rails on the helmet. It takes a little messing around with when installing to get it adjusted to your head correctly, but once fitted you will not look like a bobble head.More than comfortability I wanted to stop looking like a d-bag when I put on my ACH. I hated how high the helmet sat on my head with the issued helmet pads. This helmet liner coupled with an upgraded chin strap (the new army issue one) make my ACH comfortably snug on my head.Remember in high school football how tight your helmet was at the beginning of the year?
