NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation, 24h Full Coverage Matte Finish - Nude

Tip to prolong use of this product at the end of this review. I've purchased this NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Full Coverage Foundation many times. I have fair skin and find that the shade Alabaster works well for me as it isn't too dark or orange but also doesn't white wash me out either. I find that in some cosmetic brands the lightest foundation is still a bit too dark for me or just not the right shade. I believe this brand offers a few good options for fair-skinned people, it may just take some testing to find the best one. I like that this foundation is vegan and cruelty-free. I also like that there isn't any strong scent with it because I don't like using cosmetics that have much smell to them. This foundation offers good coverage and is buildable. I apply it with a damp real techniques foundation sponge by tapping it into my skin and it applies very evenly, easily and quickly like that. I wear it on top of a lightweight SPF moisturizer (Eucerin) and a primer (ELF luminous putty primer) and it works well over those. I then set with a powder (ELF halo glow). I don't find the finish of this foundation to be too matte/drying, but not greasy either. It feels comfortable over my moisturizer and primer and doesn't ever feel too built up. TIP: When you use up most of it and not much or nothing comes out of the pump anymore, you can still get several uses out of the bottle if you just twist the lid so that it is no longer aligned with the bottle (you can do this with lid on or off) and then pretty much just force it off by pulling/bending the top and the bottle away from each other until it pops off. If this is too hard to do by hand you can also use pliers or something, but I've been able to do it by hand. Just be careful and maybe do it in your sink so if it pops off suddenly you don't get makeup flinging anywhere. I've gotten used to doing it in a way where that isn't a problem but until you've done it a few times. I then just turn the bottle upside down and shake the product down onto my finger (or whatever you want to pour it on) and apply, then repeat as much as needed. NOTE: I recommend popping the lid back on for storage so that the makeup doesn't dry out inside between uses and you get all you can out of it. To me it isn't difficult to remove every time until it's gone.

I may have written a bad review beneath a different shade and I'll talk about that in a minute. But what I like about this foundation so much is the texture. It is not a heavy, goopy foundation full of moisturizers. Its not sticky, or tacky. It is also not a sheer dewy foundation with next to no coverage that makes you glow. It also isnt a heavy opaque matte foundation thats so thick it adds texture. What it is is a highly pigmented, light feeling fluid that dries super fast. Excellent for oily skin. Full coverage, so full that I dont need concealer with it.But it adds no texture which is super important to me as I've returned so many for that reason. It has no sunscreen in it but most dont and I find adding any foundation over sunscreen adds texture but again, this one is so thin as far as lack of goop that it doesn't add texture. But it is so pigmented that it covers everything. For this reason, I would not only recommend it for oily skin, for which I believe it it the perfect makeup for but for all skin types, because if you have dry skin you are wearing lots of moisturizing products underneath it anyway. Many years ago Maybelline had a foundation called Great Wear.. This feels and looks exactly like it minus the smell which was sort of like nail polish. I have been trying to find a dupe for that foundation since I was a teenager. Never even came close. Until now. BTW this doesnt smell at all. As far as shades are concerned, I ran into some trouble at first because alabaster was perfect in undertone but a little too light and yet the next neutral shade on their wheel was 4 shades darker. I tried every shade in between and none worked and I felt like bottles had been mismarked with the wrong shades or something but I tried other foundations and kept thinking of this one cause none could compare. So I tried again and porcelain which is one shade up from alabaster is perfect now even though the first time I bought it it was too dark. So whatever went wrong there I'm glad it was fixed because this is the only foundation that really works for my oily skin without looking heavy and textured. I will say that I'd not use it on bare skin because it does dry fast and for me, bare republic gel sunscreen or neutrogena liquid sunscreen works perfectly under it. A primer works great under it and sunscreen or just a primer alone.

First off, if you have dry skin*, you should NOT be purchasing a “Matte” foundation whatsoever as these will always be more drying than any other formula. I have normal-to-oily skin, so this formula wears very well on my skin. This foundation feels super light weight and looks very natural when applied correctly to clean, moisturized skin (the key is minimal product in T-zone). It blends to perfection whether you use a damp makeup sponge or foundation brush. This particular formula also has a wonderful shade range and I was easily able to find a shade that matched my yellow undertones precisely (shade Warm Vanilla). My skin becomes more and more oily throughout the day, so this foundation does begin to transfer for me after about 5 hours of wear. However, this isn’t a big deal for me, as I can easily apply a little more foundation or powder if I need a longer wear, without worrying about a heavy thickness. I am giving this foundation 4 stars because the initial application is not “Full Coverage” as advertised. However, this foundation does build beautifully and can become full coverage after an additional layer. Overall, I am very happy with this affordable foundation and have repurchased it 3 times now. I do my makeup almost every day and each component has lasted me about 6 mos. *For more dry-leaning skin, I would recommend Rimmel’s Lasting Finish 25Hr Breathable Long Wear Foundation (wow that’s a mouthful). What can I say about NYX. I love, love, love NYX and feel you get quality makeup at a bargain price. The CVS by my house did not have the shade Fair so I ended up ordering it off of Amazon. Before appying this foundation I usually use a concealer. It seems to go on light but covers very well. I have a bit of a scar or spider vein on my cheek and although the color is so pale, it covers the mark exceptionally well. I used it today again and noticed that my skin looks almost doll-like, even, and poreless which can be hard to achieve with ghostly-white skin that has alot of red in it at times. I'm guessing it doesn't really have a smell because nothing follows my nose when I put it on. The color stays the same throughout the day with no oxidation. I took a shower when I had it on and sort of wiped my hands over my face and noticed it is a very different texture that has staying power. I hate to say "rubbery" because I don't want people to be scared of it but it is definitely not super liquidy once it's on or thin. I would also say it's not the easiest to remove but a good makeup remover could probably alleviate that. It doesn't smear or come off on stuff or feel sticky which I really love. Another thing, although the formula is extremely stay put, my skin is not dried out when I wear it.

I used to use Revlon Colorstay foundation for years, but I feel like the coverage isn't as good as it used to be...so I was trying this as a new regular everyday foundation that was long-wear. The first experience using it was actually really good...it does seem to have better coverage and I feel like it does last a long time. However, that's until you use maybe 3/4 of the bottle. Then, you can no longer get product out! For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get the lid with the squeeze top off to get into the bottle. I kid you not - I had to google it and watch YouTube videos. Let's be honest, should there be a NEED for YouTube videos on getting the top of a brand of makeup? Clearly I'm not the only one who had the issue, because there were several videos about it. So here's what to expect. You'll need to use something like a strong metal butterknife to wedge the top off. It will fly off and a piece of the top will break and you will fling foundation onto the wall of your bathroom. The crazy part is that it's not like this effort is just to reward yourself with the last scrape of makeup left in the bottle. I continued to use it for WEEKS like this, where I dip the top (which has a tube sticking down) into the liquid in the bottle and get it out. So shame on NYX. Either they have terrible testing and design of their packages, or they want you to waste at least a 1/4 of the bottle thinking it's done and hope you throw it away and buy a new one. Either way - pretty poor for a decent quality brand. If you're going to buy this, be warned!

I am not a seasoned makeup wearer however I have done alot of research on it and have been experimenting with my makeup for a year or so now. This is the first time I have EVER been comfortable to go out with my makeup and wear it throughout the day. I have oily skin but combining this foundation with Rimmel's matte primer kept my face shine free all day (granted one touch-up with a clean sponge). There was no transfer. It didn't make my face look overly dry matte. It gave me a soft matte finish. The coverage is almost full coverage and buildable. I have quite a bit of dark spots on my cheeks (being a black girl) and two pumps is enough to provide full coverage. If I want a natural look then one pump is fine. The colour I got was a bit too neutral but it still worked because my concealer and contour kit had golden warm undertones. I loved the consistency and colour shade choice over fenty (dont come for me). Fenty feels much thicker and dries down way too fast. Fenty makes my skin very dry and I get irritated around the nose area. It doesn't last me at all through the day because my skin is being forced to produce alot more oils. Just a friendly comparison since fenty was the last one I used before this one. I WOULD RECOMMEND VISITING YOUTUBE AND WATCHING VIDEOS TO COLOUR MATCH. Dumb to think so but the images on amazon are not true to colour. There are different factors like you undertone, do you prefer lighter, darker etc foundation. Youtube is your go to place for all of that. Overall, I am over the moon about my purchase especially since it was a good bargain !

I have an old NYX foundation brush that I love, but I always like to have a back-up. I bought the new NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop brush, which is much smaller than the old one. I stipple my liquid foundation on with the brush, which gives me good coverage with less product. I've tried other foundation brushes in the past, most of them more expensive and some separated from the handle. These NYX brushes are just as good and seem to last a long time. Two thumbs up from me.

The worst makeup I have ever in my 40 years received. The color is orange, i must have ordered by mistake because I would not buy orange makeup. The company doesn't do returns. I have always bought my makeup from Amazon, I will never again 😒

Ho provato tantissimi fondotinta nella mia vita ed essendo molto chiara di carnagione spesso fra le marche low cost non è facile trovare la tonalità perfetta. Dopo aver utilizzato per diverso tempo il conceal and define di Revolution, ormai divenuto un prodotto difficile da trovare, mi sono decisa a provare questo di Nyx. La prima volta l'ho acquistato da un altro rivenditore quindi sapevo già cosa aspettarmi. È abbastanza coprente, ne basta poco per ottenere un ottimo risultato omogeneo. Nyx è un brand che non si smentisce mai.
