Silicone is completely capable of holding this with whatever you're going to load in it but you have to install it properly. Clean the surfaces. Install the hangers. Wait 72 hours... Heck, wait as long as you can. A week is the most you'd need. Silicone does not get its strength until it cures and depending on the humidity in the area you're installing it, that could take up to a week. Especially if you're still using the shower each day. Let it cure and be patient before putting weight on it. Follow the instructions and it'll hold a bowling ball! As an aside, silicone does not bond to plastics. If your shower surround is plastic or possibly even some of the synthetics, ditch the silicone and follow the same directions but substitute a glue that is intended for bonding plastics to metal. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Follow directions, don't cut corners. *by S***M on Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2015* I feel like a lot of the people who have this fall off the wall did not install it right, and it bothers me when people write negative reviews about things that were their own fault... Used left over crystal clear silicone from the new shower install. This thing really opens the whole thing up and makes the job look more high-end-amateur rather than slap-dash-saving-money-doing-it-myself-amateur. It easily holds the big Costco-sized shampoo and conditioner bottles.
