Gran Turismo 5 - Playstation 3

Astonished by the graphics and amazed by how much more of a real driving simulation it is, Gran Turismo 5 DELIVERS. The first thing I did though was look at the trophy list after installing. If there are any platinum trophy freaks like me this one has work cut out for you. One of them i noticed was Gold star in all license, events, and single events. If you ever played a GT then you know there are easily over 300 races, just me popping through the menus I think there are definitely 300 but I could be wrong... not to mention the endurance races. Now for the graphics... I honestly must say that this just might be the best looking racing game ever if not, tell me what is. As for the game play its a step up from gt4 in simulation but not anymore difficult. The only problem i see with GT5 so far is the loading times. I'm use to fast load times on other games but this is not the case for GT5, but I don't care because each race is worth the load time, oh and by the way I'm sure after a few races one would just get use to the load times, every race I have done so far I have just admired every detail that the developers put in to it. I would recommend every ps3 owner to have this game if you are into racing games, however, if you like need for speed or any other type of arcade game GT5 is nothing like those games. If you have never tried a Gran Turismo game before I suggest you rent this or play it on a display before you buy so you know what your getting into. Have fun, Happy Thanksgiving to all. EDIT: Although amazing I have been finding flaws which remind me of the huge mistake of releasing Gran Turismo 2 in the state that it was in. I'm having fun racing but the B-spec mode SUCKS......... Its twice as long as a-spec and you cannot speed it up like GT4. I really think these guys just sat around and got drunk or just hanged out for the 5 years of development because in 5 years they should have been able to have the usual amount of races for each class. This time around there are hardly any rally races and at times the graphics shop up like crazy. I loved gran turismo sense day one of me playing it. Although i feel let down. I hope us fans don't have to wait 6 more years. Seriously I love gran turismo but i cant see myself playing it as much as I did the previous GT's because its extremely short when compared to the previous games. I wanted more races. All we can hope for is gt 6 soon, or at least some add- on content.

This game series continues to impress. the graphics are a step up from the last version and pretty incredible. This all is nice but if the game stinks who care what it looks like. this is not the case here. The gaming experience is just awesome. Realistic is all I have to say. If you are looking for a need for speed or midnight club dumb down race experience you will not find this here and you will not like this game. This is for people who want a real driving experience and a little more of a challange than most race games. IE how much throttle, when, how much braking and when, car set up, gear ratio, what drive train, ECT is all critical to your lap time as is the car set up as it all interacts and is all critical. If you tweak something or setting a bit too much yuor car will be off the track or banging into walls. you will need to do a bit of educating yourself on what camber angle and toe angle and bound and reboun do or how the spring rate or ride height do to car preformance if you are not a series verteran but it is worth the effort. I have not played on line yet as there is probally pretty limited people as the game was just released but I am sure it will be better than the last version as everything else is. I got this on a release day delivery from Amazon and have logged about 60 hrs over the thanksgiving weekend. This is additive. It does take a bit of time in the GT mode to get to the good cars but even driving the low end cars is a lot of fun and really teaches you the race lines on each track. the go cart is a nice addition as is the nascar element. I can not wait for my playseat and my g27 stearing wheel and pedals to get here so far using the regular PS controller but still good. Have not tried the 3D yet as I am waiting for the glass to be delivered. I here from a buddy though that the 3D is great and a must.

Das Spiel ist ein schöner Zeitvertreib. Man fährt wirklich Auto, und rast nicht einfach wild durch die Gegend. Das 3D-Erlebnis ist empfehlenswert.

Nice Game BUTTTT! Man it took forever to load on my playstation3. It took over an hour to update and upload data to the playstation. This disc/game uses up LOTS of space on the hardrive but the results are wonderful. Actually I am impressed with all the features the game has to offer. I have a thrustmaster T150 steering wheel and it works great with it. It actually vibrates yahooo Feel like in a real r ace car Highly recommend this game for P3 users

Consapevole del fatto che fosse un gioco simulativo, anche non essendo amante dalla simulazione, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Graficamente niente di che, è piattissimo e noioso. Certo le molte opzioni e auto possono essere una cosa positiva, ma per me non fanno alzare più di tanto l'esperienza complessiva. Inoltre le auto quando curvano, sembrano pattinare.
