With some padding and tape wrapped around the outside of the covers I've also found this to be an ideal solution if you have to pack up your gear for shipment, keeps the carts well protected from the shock and vibration of transit. I have 5 mounted cartridges in use on 2 Technics turntables and this is a good storage solution for whichever headshells which are not in use at a given time. For a rather light weight plastic product, I feel it is a little over-priced. I wish the base was metal and had more weight to the it. Lastly, I would be happier with it if it did not have the AT name on it (only one of my cartridges is made by AT). Those are the reasons I deducted a star.
